The concentration-dependency of sunflower PLD activity. (A) Dependency of sunflower PLD specific activities upon PC concentrations. PEt was determined as described in Materials and Methods. Each assay (0.5 ml total volume) was carried out with 5 μg of sunflower PLD and 150 mM ethanol (final concentration) in the presence of 0.5 μCi of [14C]ethanol. Values are means ± SD (Standard deviation) from three experiments. (B) Effects of the ethanol concentrations on the specific activities of PLD. PEt was determined as described in Materials and Methods. Each assay (0.5 ml total volume) was carried out with 5 μg of sunflower PLD and 0.5 mM (final concentration) PC vesicle suspensions. Results are shown as means from two independent experiments.
