O.R. values and 95% C.I. were obtained from logistic regression analysis using hypercholesterolemia as dependent variable with gender, ethnics, history of coronary artery disease, age, hypertension, obesity, cigarette smoking, physical activity and alcohol consumption as covariates for the model. Influence of ε2 and ε4 alleles on risk for hypercholesterolemia was accessed comparing with the reference allele ε3.
