Effect of fucoxanthin on expression levels of cholesterol transport-related proteins in the liver. KK-Ay mice were fed with the AIN-93G diet with or without 0.2% fucoxanthin for 4 weeks. Liver lysates were prepared for Western blotting, and primary antibody binding was detected by appropriate secondary antibodies for chemiluminescence as described under “Materials and Methods”. Expression levels are presented relative to control group after normalization for β-Actin levels. Each value represents the mean ± standard error (n = 6).
