The combination therapy inhibited the body weight gain and decreased serum lipid in the ApoE−/− mice. The ApoE−/− mice were fed high fat diet and given vehicle alone, simvastatin (10 mg/kg), pinocembrin (20 mg/kg ), or the combination of simvastatin (5 mg/kg) and pinocembrin (20 mg/kg) per day for 14 weeks. A: body weight for each mouse was measured at the end of experiment. B-D: the levels of serum lipid.
