HDL was isolated from plasma of 50 patients with HIV and 50 healthy subjects, using ultracentrifugation and PEG precipitation and DOR values were determined as described in Figure10. We found that the nDOR values from the HDL samples isolated using ultracentrifugation (UC) correlated significantly (p < 0.05) with those from the (apo) B-depleted plasma using PEG precipitation in both healthy subjects (A) (R² = 0.65, p < 0.001) and HIV infected (B) (R² = 0.47, p < 0.01)
