  1. HDL 2.2 and 10.10 refer to two sequential ultra-centrifugations 2 or 10 hours each. Samples were diluted 12 times and were run once at each dilution. The reported concentrations were in the linear range of the assay (Additional file 1: Table S1). The strength of this technique is in the ability to measure these HDL proteins across a wide concentration range.
