Syn-1 internalizes DiI-apoE-VLDL through a lipid raft-mediated pathway. GM00701/Syn-1-HA cells were incubated at 37°C in the absence or presence of nystatin (25 μg/ml) for 30 min prior to a 60 min incubation with DiI-apoE-VLDL (upper panels) or 488-α₂M (lower panels) (5 μg/ml). Cells were fixed and visualized by fluorescence microscopy (488-α₂M, FITC filter set; DiI-apoE-VLDL, rhodamine filter set). Magnification, 630X.
