Omega-3 fatty acid prevents apoptosis in the ileum mucosa after 5-FU injection. Ileum fragments were subjected to TUNEL labeling and morphometric analyses. a Few apoptotic cells were labeled in the mucosa from the CTL, CTL + n-3 FA and MUC+ n-3 FA mice.
