Rapamycin increases the amount of triglycerides in HepG2 cells but does not affect cellular proliferation. a HepG2 cells were cultured in low-serum media (1 % FBS) with or without rapamycin (RAPA, 10 nM). After 48 h, cell proliferation was measured by WST-1 assay.
