DHA plays a crucial role in suppressing the proliferation of A549 cells. MTT assay (a) and colony formation assay (b, c) show a decrease in growth rate in DHA-treated cells compared to that in the control. The absorbance was normalized to that of the control (100%). The number of colonies was quantified in the colony formation assay. Each bar represents the mean ± SD of three independent experiments. *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01
