Effects of HFD on profibrogenic gene and CD36 expression in the livers of C57BL/6 J mice. Mice were fed a normal chow diet (NCD) or a high-fat diet (HFD) for 14 weeks. The levels of FFA and TG in serum were measured as described in the Materials and methods (a). The hepatic mRNA expression of Acta2, Col 1, and Col 4 was determined by real-time PCR (b).
