Continuous variables are presented as mean ± SD. Fasting plasma glucose, fasting serum insulin, HOMAIR, HDL-C, TG, CRP, sE-selectin, sP-selectin, SAA, sICAM1, sVCAM1, MMP1, MMP2, MMP9, MCP1, sTNFRII and 8-OHdG values were logarithmically transformed before statistical testing to meet the assumption of normal distributions; however, the untransformed data are shown as median (range)
  2. All variables had non-normal distributions after Normality test, including fasting plasma glucose, fasting serum insulin, HOMAIR, sE-selectin, sP-selectin, SAA, sICAM1, MMP1, MMP2, MMP9, MCP1 and sTNFRII were analyzed by using Kolmogorov-Smirnov test
