Effect of 4-cholesten-3-one and SR9238 on ABCG1 and ABCA1 mRNA expression level in MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cells determined by quantitative PCR. Breast cancer cells were treated for 24 h with 12.5 μM 4-cholesten-3-one alone, 12.5 μM SR9238 alone, or 12.5 μM 4-cholesten-3-one and 12.5 μM SR9238 together. 18S rRNA was used as a housekeeping gene and the results are expressed with respect to the control defined at 1.
