Comparison of molar fractions of the 10 lipid species with the highest VIP scores. VIP scores were retrieved from an OPLS-DA analysis that aimed to discriminate plasma from SBF samples. A high VIP score indicates high ability to discriminate samples according to the OPLS-DA model. All 10 lipid species showed significant differences between plasma and SBF (Mann-Whitney U test, p < 0.001)
