Psoriasis-signature cytokines, such as TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6, have effects on adipose tissue being involved in key mechanisms of TG metabolism and differentiation of pre-adipocytes, including increased risk of obesity. Secreted adipokines, such as leptin, chemerin, RBP4, visfatin, fetuin-A, apelin 36 and lipocalin-2, could amplify the immune response and promote immune-mediated diseases by their pro-inflammatory effects; however, adiponectin and omentin shows anti-inflammatory effects, and the levels of adiponectin and omentin obviously decrease in obese patients.
