Associations of the non-HDLc /HDLc with carotid plaques in prespecified and exploratory subgroups. Odds ratios were adjusted for sex, age, region, education, employment status, BMI, SBP, DBP, FBG, TG, HCY, exercise and smoking status, family history of stroke, history of stroke and TIA, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, heart diseases and current antilipidaemic medication. In each case, the stratification variable itself in each subgroup analysis was not included in the adjusted model. P for interaction were from the likelihood ratio test
