A stepwise multiple linear regression analysis was performed using HOMA-β as a dependent variable, RBP4 was selected as an independent variable together with age, BMI, waist circumference, Hepatic fat content, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, γ-glutamyltransferase, waist-to-hip ratio, Systolic and Diastolic blood pressure, Total cholesterol, Triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, HOMA-IR.
