  2. Results are from separate models of each combination of fatty acid profiles. Odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals in the highest compared with the lowest quintile of each fatty acid. P for trend across quintiles of each profile, and each fatty acid profile was added to the model in quintile with 4 dummy variables. Adjusted for age, gender, BMI, smoking, drinking and exercise, LDL cholesterol, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, uric acid, fasting glucose levels and total fat amount in plasma
