Fatty acid content was expressed as the percentage of its integrated chromatogram peak area with respect to the total area of fatty acids that were identified (C14:0, C16:0, C18:0, C20:0, C16:1n-7, C18:1n-9, C18:2n-6, C18:3n-3). Adiposity index was calculated as the sum of the weight of lumbar, gonadal, inguinal and mesenteric fat depots expressed as percentage with respect to body weight.
