Effect of palmitoleic acid on membrane integrity and phosphatidylserine externalization of lymphocytes. After treatment with 12.5 to 100 μM of PA for 24 h, lymphocytes were incubated with propidium iodide and Annexin V-FITC and analyzed by flow cytometry. Representative dot plots related to PI (y axis) and FITC (x axis) fluorescence are shown in: a Control cells incubated only with RPMI medium; b Cells treated with 0.05% of ethanol; c Cells treated with 75 μM of PA; d Cells treated with 100 μM of PA.
