Oxidation of HDL inhibits SMC migration while HDL promotes SMC migration. a Primary aortic SMCs were cultured on 12-well plate until confluent, when an in vitro wound healing assay was performed. The native HDL and oxHDL were applied to SMCs at a concentration of 100 μg /ml for 48 h. Photographs of cells were taken 48 h after scratch. b In vitro transwell assay was performed to analyze SMC migration. The native and oxHDL were applied to SMCs at a concentration of 100 μg /ml for 12 h.
