Palmitic acid (PA) decreases the ubiquitination of FTO in hepatocytes. A Western blotting analysis of FTO protein expression in HepG2 cells treated with the protein synthesis inhibitor cycloheximide (CHX, 10 µg/mL), and/or the proteasome inhibitor MG132 (10 µM) for 24 h.
