The Forest plot presented the MR estimates of circulating lipids on human lifespans in the discovery (the left plot) and validation (the right plot) datasets. Beta and 95% CI were used to estimate the effects of a 1 mmol/L change of circulating lipids (LDL cholesterol 38.67 mg/dl, Triglycerides 88.57 mg/dl) on lifespan in the discovery data (quantitative traits), whereas OR and 95% CI indicated the effect estimates of a 1 mmol/L change of circulating lipids on human longevity in the validation data (binary outcomes).
