  1. The data were presented as numbers (percentages), means ± SD, or median (interquartile), as appropriate. Group differences were assessed using the X2 test for categorical variables, while continuous variables were analyzed using t-tests and Mann–Whitney U tests
  2. SBP systolic blood pressure, DBP diastolic blood pressure, BMI body mass index, FBG fasting blood glucose, TC total cholesterol, TG triglyceride, LDL-C low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, HDL-C high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, MVPA moderate-to-vigorous physical activity
  3. Physical activity: recommended was defined as vigorous intensity PA performed for 75 min/week, moderate intensity PA performed for 150 min/week, or an equivalent combination with MVPA. Diet quality: poor ≤ 3, intermediate 4–6, and good ≥ 6
